2 sticks butter

4 ounces unsweetened chocolate

4 eggs, lightly beaten

1 3/4 cups sugar

1 cup flour

1 tsp vanilla

2⁄3 cup chopped walnuts

Melt butter and chocolate. Stir in sugar, then add eggs and vanilla. Mix together, then stir in flour. Add walnuts, if desired and pour into greased and floured 9 x 12 pan. Bake at 350˚ for 20–25 minutes, or until the center is just set. Do not overbake! Cool completely before cutting.
